This was a school project focused on an iterative process. I chose to work based on a catalog cover designed by Piet's Zwart for NKF, 1926(the first image). By isolating type and image elements, I had to use them as building blocks to create fifty variations of the original piece.
After which, we had to think of a way of expressing these fifty posters. Since NKF was a wire company, I chose to use a string and cable ties to hang all the posters together. I also worked on the advantage of having only two colours —black and yellow and have all the black parts of the poster printed on transparency and overlaying therm on yellow paper. Since the poster had a vintage vibe to it, I also hand stamped the numbers of each poster individually.
